BIOGRAPHY
Tim Stratton has been working as a Live Sound
Engineer
in the
professional
audio industry
since leaving school at age 17. Back then he worked for a
few years full-time
running the
PA with
a band
touring
schools.
He then went on to work full-time as an in house sound engineer
for a Performing Arts Academy based in Bristol called NGM.
While he was there he was put in charge of operating and
maintaining the PA equipment for their building
which included a 250 seater performance venue, three rehearsal
rooms, two recording studios and a dance studio. Another
aspect that he was able to get involved with while he was
there was to go on road with three of NGM’s touring
bands as there FOH (front of house)/monitor engineer.
Tim now works freelance which he began back in 2003. Since
going freelance he has worked on tours in Europe, America
and Africa. Operating both front of house and monitor rigs
in venues both large and small, from the intimate club gig,
to the large venue holding thousands. Some of the events
he has worked on have included System Tech/FOH engineer for
a Gospel event in Nigeria which had an attendance of over 250,000 people,
FOH Engineer for Sharlene Spiteri (from the band Texas), Monitor Engineer for Mcfly, System Tech for Jamelia and
FOH/Monitor Engineer on multiple Delirious tours.
